Description of the project: “Atodacosta” is a network for the exchange of methodologies, techniques and best practices in the field of training for employment, composed of the Malaga municipalities of Mijas, Fuengirola, Benalmádena, Alhaurín de la Torre and Vélez Málaga; the Department of Employment of the Andalusia Regional Government (Malaga Provincial Office), the CIO Mijas (Andalusian Centre for Comprehensive Training in Leisure Industries), Malaga Provincial Council and the University of Malaga.
It was created as an initiative in response to the new challenges set in the 2007 call for grants from the European Social Fund for the “Adaptability and Employment” Operational Programme (2007–2013).
Its aim is to promote measures that encourage knowledge-sharing networks, and to further the comprehensive development of socially responsible regions through a combination of economic, social, environmental and cultural aspects.
The Network’s main objective is to develop intervention strategies in the fields of training and professional career guidance through the implementation of coordinated and joint actions in order to improve job availability and the employability of groups that are especially at risk of social exclusion.
