Title: "CES - Building sustainable local spaces - Collaborative Sustainable Energy”
Description of the Project / Partner sought: Building sustainable local spaces - Collaborative Sustainable Energy (CES) is a proposal to implement collaborative institutional and citizenship learning actions in the Athlantic Area with the aim of promoting the use of renewable energies as well as the energy efficiency in rural and urban areas in coherence with the Sustainable Development Objectives and the Mayors Pact. The objective is to implement measures that allow to reduce emissions of greenhouses gases up to 20% for 2020 from a double strategy: the design for the implementation of innovative local policies and a responsible consumption from citizens.
It is a decentralized initiative, promoted locally, relevant for achieving the commitment for the reduction of greenhouses gases emissions through the starting of energy efficiency programs in different fields such as urban transport, mobility, the promotion of renewable energies, from a proactive attitude of citizenship in each project partner territory. This working space must allow the capacity building among local authorities and citizenship in a project that intends to link local actions policies with changes in the behavior and consumption models among citizenship.
