Title: “Festival Florio (Sicily)”
Description of the project/Partner sought: Festival Florio, a EFFE (Europe for Festivals, Festivals for Europe) labelled festival which brings classical and jazz concerts, theatre and dance performances in the enchanting Egadi islands (Sicily).
In 2017 the festival will have its 6th edition and it takes place over 10 days at the end of June inSicily. The porgramme includes: concerts, readings, screenings, talks, tastings, etc…
The venues are as relevant as the programme itself. The events take place in magnificent gardens, mines, St Caterina castle, boats, beaches, etc… The aim of the festival is to highlight the natural beauty of theEgadi islandsand to be a unique appointment for classic music and culture at national and international level.
Well-known names are usually taking part: actors, presenters, musicians in the sectors of Classic music, Jazz Music, Literature, Dance, Talks, etc…
A special prize is also awarded to a local talented composer.
