Title of the project: Mantova Chamber Music Festival
Description of the project: The Mantova Chamber Orchestra (located in Mantova, Lombardy Region - Italy) was founded in 1981 and gaining from the beginning the general public attention thanks to technical brilliance, assiduous pursuit of sound quality, sensitivity to stylistic problems.
Over the last decade, national and international activities of the orchestra focused on the design and implementation of major monographic cycles, such as the "Beethoven Project" (2002-2004), the sacred production of WA Mozart (2004-2007), the three-year project "Haydn the European who loved Italy” and the complete Schumann‘s symphonies (2010).
Since 1993, the Mantova Chamber Orchestra is relaunching the musical activities of the city, through the concert season “Tempo d’Orchestra" which regularly hosts some of the main soloists, chamber groups and orchestras on the international scene.
Since May 2013, it is organized the Mantova Chamber Music Festival, an event that takes place in the main art sites of the city, achieving a great success and obtaining an extraordinary interest and participation. The festival has been selected for the EFFE Label (Europe for Festivals, Festivals for Europe) 2015/2016, a quality label of the European Commission to festivals with an artistic commitment, involvement in their local communities and a European and global outlook.
Partner sought: We are looking for lead partners for Mantova Chamber Music Festival in relation with cooperation projects. We are especially interested in chamber music festivals, chamber orchestras and cultural organisation.
