Title: Under the same sun
Description of the Project:
Youth Center Idrija is a community space and youth node in the town of Idrija (Slovenia) that functions as a meeting place for young people and increasingly for the whole community of Idrija.
The aim of the community youth space is to encourage public participation of youth in decision-making processes, structured dialogue, youth mobility and volunteering, informal education, social inclusion and inter-cultural dialogue, creative and active free time.
Through this project they want to encourage people to think about accessibility in broader way. They would also like to address topics such as inclusion, tolerance and possibilities of people with and without disabilities. Firstly, they will discuss these topics at different workshops. Led by trainer they will discover and share own perception on these concepts. They will try to change perspectives with learning by experiences, sharing good practices and working methods, and thinking how to create youth exchange for youth with disability. At the end they will also prepare guerrilla action about inclusion, they will upgrade a booklet about current possibilities for people with disabilities in local area.
Partner Sought:
They are looking for partners (youth workers or other professions) who are working with people with disabilities. They are inviting young people (20 – 35 years old) who would be willing to upgrade and share their views, knowledge and experiences. Training will be in Idrija, Slovenia between 7. 10. 2018 and 12. 10. 2018. Each partner should send 2 participants.
