FRENCH VOLUNTEERING PROGRAMME “SERVICE CIVIQUE”. FRANCE

Description of the Project:

The Regional Youth Information Center (CRIJ Normandie), located in Caen (France), is currently looking for 1 volunteer from EU countries for the French volunteering programme called “Service Civique”. CRIJ Normandie is a non-profit organization located in Caen and Rouen. Each year 4 volunteers join the team. Among the activities related to Youth Information, CRIJ Normandie supports and contributes to inform young people about european and international youth mobility and helps to build mobility projects.

The volunteer´s tasks will include:

• supporting the CRIJ team during mobility events,
• participating in intercultural workshops and activities related to the regional Youth Information network,
• managing an online regional network of volunteers called “Le Hub des volontaires”,
• helping to organize workshops or events to promote youth international mobility or to collect young traveller´s stories,
• organizing playful activities, creating pedagogical tools,
• promoting mobility projects (interviewing young people, spreading European news and mobility programmes on the social media, participating in radio programmes).

The monthly allowance is 577,08 €, working 28h per week. The volunteering starts on Monday 1st October 2018 and lasts 10 months. Travel and accommodation arrangements will be made by the CRIJ team.

Partner Sought: A person from EU countries between 18 and 25 years, who likes meeting new people and sharing and has experience or a taste for travelling. Knowledge of French would be an advantage.
