Programme: Erasmus Plus. Key Action 3 - Structured Dialogue: meetings between young people and decision makers in the field of youth.
Description of the project:
Municipality of Santarcangelo di Romagna, In Italy, is looking for local authorities or organizations dealing with youngsters and in contact with policy makers/youth policies representatives interested at participating as partners to a proposal to be submitted within Erasmus Plus Programme –whose next deadline for submission is 04 October 2016.
The project idea, to be further developed, intends to promote the active participation of young people in democratic life, reaching the policy level/dialogue with decision makers, Youth (Participation, Youth Work, Youth Policy) and Social dialogue.
Objectives:
- To facilitate the communication between young people and politicians (in charge of youth policies) starting from the concept of mutual representation, namely the idea that each one has of the other one, in order to verify how that representation is concrete and true, what are the elements that undermine its objectivity and how these elements have consequences on the relationship between the two groups.
- To provide a new opportunity of citizenship and structured dialogue, in order to make youngsters look at their future life through a mutual recognisability with politics and policy makers.
The youth policies of local authorities (Municipalities, Provinces, regions) should be addressed to ensure that young people recognize what is the role of politics and politicians, and vice versa.
